Blood Flow Restriction Therapy is a treatment technique that utilizes cuffs similar to blood pressure cuffs that intermittently and safely occludes a personalized percentage of blood flow to a limb while performing light weight exercises.
WHAT TO EXPECT: Typically BFR training will involve placing a cuff around your thigh or upper arm, performing 1-3 exercises with light weights, and feeling a gentle pressure under the cuff that immediately disipates after use.
GOAL: BFR Training helps to strengthen injured areas without placing added stress of heavy weights to vulnerable tissues. ​
